Along with ST*BA partners Erin Wade (County of Maui), Sissy-Lake Farm (Hale Ho'ike'ike) and Kelly McHugh-White (Little Rhinoceros LLC), we were joined by artist Kyle Elama Farm, student Kaz Wade, marine biologist Dean Tokishi, Lopaka White of the KIRC, photographer Sean Hower, filmmaker Matt Pierce and artist Jaclynn Sabado-Eitel.
We were thrilled to be invited by Uncle Skippy Hau of the Department of Aquatic Resources to survey ʻĪao for ʻoʻopu (Hawaiian freshwater goby), hinana (juvenile 'o'opu) and hīhīwai (freshwater snails endemic to Hawaiʻi) - all to learn more about artist Jaclynn Sabado-Eitel's Makai to Mauka artwork currently installed at Wells Park.
